About Guelph Siding
A direct booking line for one vetted, insured siding contractor working across Guelph and Wellington County.
Guelph Siding is a booking line. It is not a siding company and it is not a directory that sells your enquiry to six bidders. It connects to one local siding contractor working across the city and the surrounding county — the limestone and brick century homes downtown, in The Ward, Old University and around Exhibition Park, the post-war and 1960s-70s stock through the west and north end, the newer subdivisions in Westminster Woods, Clairfields, Pine Ridge, Grange Hill East and Kortright Hills, and the farmhouses and outbuildings out through Rockwood, Eden Mills, Ariss, Fergus, Elora, Puslinch and Aberfoyle.
Siding is unusually easy to sell badly. The finished result looks the same from the driveway whether the flashings were done or not, the parts that matter are covered up by the parts that do not, and the failures take years to appear and then appear as rot rather than as an obvious hole. That combination produces exactly the market you would expect: a square-foot number over the phone, a scope with the trim left vague, a deposit before anything is ordered, and a crew that is gone before anybody finds out.
The point of this site is a straight line to a contractor who will walk the house before pricing it, itemise the trim and the flashing rather than burying them, agree a sheathing repair rate in writing before the wall is opened, and tell you the truthful season for the work even when that means a date further out than you wanted.
You will also get told the awkward things. That siding quotes on the same house vary enormously and usually because they are not the same job. That the cheap quote is nearly always the one skipping the trim details. That an exact colour match to a fifteen-year-old wall is frequently not available. That some century homes should not be sided at all. And that weather genuinely limits when this work can be done properly.
What we will not do: publish reviews we do not have, invent a rating or a star count, show you a portfolio of projects that are not ours, quote a fixed price on a website, claim to be an authorised dealer or certified installer for any siding brand, or sell your phone number to a list of companies who will all call you. This site is new. It says what it can do and nothing more.
What the contractor handles
- Vinyl and insulated vinyl siding installation and replacement
- Fibre cement and engineered wood siding
- Board and batten and vertical siding, on houses and on outbuildings
- Soffit, fascia and exterior trim — corners, casings, frieze, drip caps and mounting blocks
- Gable ends, dormers, porch ceilings and skirting, bay returns and rear additions on century homes
- Siding repair, matching, and single-elevation replacement after wind, hail or impact damage
- The water-resistive barrier, flashing and sheathing repair that belongs inside a siding job
What it does not handle
This is a siding site and the work stops at the wall and the trim that ties into it. Roofing is a different trade. Eavestrough replacement, cleaning and gutter protection are different work, and while the eavestrough usually has to come off and go back on to do the fascia properly, upgrading it is not something sold here. Window and door replacement is its own trade, and although new siding is the right moment to think about it because the openings are exposed, it is not quoted on this site. Attic insulation is not siding work either — we will tell you when a blocked soffit vent means the attic side needs attention, and then that is someone else's job.
Stucco, masonry repair and brickwork, structural repairs beyond sheathing, and anything requiring an engineer are separate disciplines. Insurance restoration is its own business; we will document damage and give you a written scope for an adjuster, but we do not handle claims on your behalf and we do not inflate a scope to suit one.
Trade qualifications in Ontario are administered by Skilled Trades Ontario and workplace coverage through WSIB, and both are worth asking about before anyone puts a ladder against your house. How a wall manages water falls under Ontario's Building Code, and permits and heritage approvals inside the city come from the City of Guelph. You will be told when a job belongs to someone else rather than sold something that will not fix the problem.
How this works
When you call 548-325-8897 or send the form, your details go straight to the siding contractor's office. They arrange a visit to walk the house, look at what is on it now, check the fascia, the soffit, the openings and the roof-to-wall junctions, and work out the access. Then they quote the work in writing with the trim and flashing itemised, the material and colour confirmed, a sheathing repair rate stated, and a realistic start window given the season. The work is done under their own licences and insurance. Your information is not sold, not shared with a list of competing companies, and there is no markup added to your bill for the introduction.
What we won't do
- Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
- Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
- Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
